Welcome to Nursery!
Probably the most difficult decision for parents of young children is having to leave their loved ones in someone else's care. We are delighted that you trust Llansannor to start your child's journey into education. Essentially we are a 'home from home', a place where children will feel safe and secure, where they are looked after by staff who genuinely care for the children in their care. Our setting is the ideal environment for early learning development, a place where children can learn in an atmosphere of fun, sowing the seeds for their future educational development.
Literacy & Numeracy Skills.
We have had a very term so far developing all our skills and exploring new things. We listen to stories that are based on our topic and enjoy using a range of writing materials to'mark-make' which are helping us to form our letters correctly and to identify patterns which will help us write our names.
We enjoy learning number songs and playing number games. We are beginning to count objects around the around the classroom and matching them to the right number.
Nursery soft toy.
Morning nursery have a cuddly dinosaur called Kelly and afternoon nursery have a cuddly bunny called Betsi. The toys come home up to twice weekly, with a diary, for you to record what adventures she has with you an your child.
This project is to help develop your children's speaking and listening skills as they feedback to the rest of the class of what they have been up to.
